ASMAE OURKIYA


Asmae Ourkiya (They/Them) is a Moroccan award-winning researcher and writer who holds a doctoral degree by research in Ecofeminism from Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.


They are a diligent, solutions-oriented, and highly organised professional with national and international experiences working in busy operations environments. Thanks to their multilingualism, outstanding IT, management, communication, and problem-solving skills, they developed adaptability to be versatile and excel in different working environments and fields.

In addition to their experience in multinational environments, Asmae brings their academic background which manifests in their research expertise, demonstrating their analytical and critical thinking skills, high-standard proofreading and attention to details, as well as an impeccable redaction skills.

Autonomous and self-starting, they are known for their leadership and capacity to take initiative, their ability to think outside of the box, and proven track to deliver solutions and exceed KPI targets as well their excellent cross functional team collaboration.


Having received multiple international awards for their excellent academic and professional achievements, Asmae's professionalism has been praised by all the people and organisations they have worked with. 


Their thesis, which revolves around queer ecofeminism, is going to be published by Lexington Books after their expected graduation in 2021 as they recently signed their publishing agreement for the book: Queer Ecofeminism: Gender and Sexuality in The Journey of An Anti-Far Right Environmental Justice. 


From academic writing to news stories to opinion pieces, Asmae thrives to change the world through their writings. They believe in the power of words and do not hesitate to use them to create a positive change, educate, criticise, and empower. 


Regarding their professional experiences, Asmae has worked as a transcriber, content editor and content reviewer, freelance writer, and news story reporter.
